Below are our Terms of Sale practices. When purchasing a goat from us it is assumed that the perspective buyers have read and agreed to our Terms of Sale stated below. Sales Terms are subject to change as well as the pricing of individual goats.
Goats are herd animals, therefore we will not sell a goat by itself to those who do not already have at least one other goat. Goats need access to shelter (barn or barn stall) to protect them from rain, muddy conditions, direct sun exposure, freezing weather and wild animals such as coyotes, skunks, raccoons, stray/unleashed dogs etc. They do not like getting wet and are sensitive to extreme heat and windy, cold weather. Heat lamps are good to regulate temperatures in their stall in the cold weather (under 40 degrees). They need continuous access in their stall to fresh water, goat minerals, mixed grass/orchard grass hay. They need to be fed grain daily , CD & T vaccine annually (2 ml) and their hooves trimmed every 3 months. For more info regarding goat care click FAQ to answer most Frequently Asked Questions.
Our kids are dam raised and will stay at our farm until weaning age (approx. 8 weeks old) unless otherwise specified. All kids will be disbudded (unless polled), receive CDT vaccine, and coccidia prevention prior to leaving our farm. We reserve the right to retain any and/or all kids as well as the right to deny, cancel, or approve sales. If we cancel the sale any deposit made will be refunded to the buyer.
A deposit is not required to be added to our New Kids Email List. If you would like to be added to the NKE List please fill out the form located in the contact us section. No deposits will be accepted until the kid/kids are born. Being added to the NKE List does not guarantee a kid. When our new kids litter's photos and information are available on the website we will notify those on the NKE List all at once. Deposits will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a goat(s) for purchase until they are picked-up, in which the balance of their purchase price along with any fees relating to the goat(s) will be due in full on or before the goat(s) are picked-up. There will be no refunds on reservations/sales canceled by the buyer. If you are interested in putting a deposit down on one or more goats please call/text Rebecca Worth at 615-604-9600 or email rebecca@wagonwheelmeadows.com. Payments can be Cash, Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal. All goat sales are final.
You will need to arrange your own quality transport. We will not allow any goat(s) to leave our facility in conditions we view as unsafe. Our preference is for the goats to be inside a secured pen or crate inside a vehicle or trailer. Once a desired pick-up date is agreed upon the buyer is responsible for arriving to pick up the goat on that day. Should a goat need to stay past the agreed upon pickup date, a boarding rate of $5 per day shall be added to the final price of the goat for up to two weeks (14 days). If they are not picked up by the end of those two weeks (14 days) the sale will be voided and deposit will be forfeited. If we decide that a goat(s) needs to stay longer for health and/or wellness concerns no additional fees will be added to the final price of the goat(s) staying longer.
Transfer of sale occurs when the goat(s) are loaded into your transport vehicle. Due to the common stress of moving and relocating of goats, changes in feed and care (sheltering from rain, wind, sun and freezing temperatures, wild animals etc.), once the goat(s) leave our farm no further health guarantees can be made or will be given and all liabilities and responsibilities (shelter, health care, vaccines, trim hooves, etc.) for the goat(s) are immediately transferred to the buyer. We will not take any goat back because we cannot be sure the goat has not been exposed to diseases while away from our farm.
We do not guarantee that a purchaser will like the goat(s) they purchased from us as well as not guaranteeing that they will cohabitate well with any other animals. We cannot guarantee how much milk a goat will produce. We cannot guarantee that a goat won’t grow scurs (small horn growths). We cannot guarantee the future health of the goat. We cannot guarantee the goat will be of show quality, breeding quality, or fertile. If a goat is sold as bred, it is understood by both parties that the bred goat is presumed bred and is not guaranteed to carry to term or birth live kid(s).
When picking up your goat(s), you will receive a goodie bag that includes their corresponding paperwork, a collar, a small portion of food to help them in transitioning from our farm to yours.
After the sale I will be available by email, phone, or text to help you with any questions.
We look forward to meeting you!
